Yes they should but the children's father should be in the picture still. You can never replace their dad and you should never try to. When I started dating after my divorce, my new bf and his new gf and us all went out to the Great Escape (an amusement park) with the kids to show then that they were so lucky to have two mommy and daddys. Now they rely on us all and to tell you the truth, we are all great friends. This was a horrible divorce too. My kids have grown to know that they are not to say anything bad about the other parent and that if there is something wrong, they have the four of us to go to. My ex husband and I are actually planning to have double weddings because of the kids and we are all ecstatic over it

Sure why not! Just because something went wrong with your 1st marriage doesn't mean you should never have a relationship again. You need companionship and it's always good for your kids to have a good male role model in the house.

I think before making any decisions regarding dating and especially marriage you should definitely consult with your children to see if they would have a problem with another man being around, especially if your children are young. If your children are older, still ask but make it clear that it's time for you to do something that makes you happy. But listen to your children and consider their feelings and well being and decide accordingly.

yes of course you should date and possibly remarry!(regardless if there are children or not). my wife's husband passed away and she had a few dates then she met me! we now have two Beautiful children!

Well thats up to them. If they want to start dating and then remarry its their choice. If thats what you want to do then do it. Theres nothing wrong with it.

it depends on how old your childrne are. if they are young then i say no, you should be spending more time with them and seeing the special little things then do. if they are older children then yes you are intitled to your happiness too.
