Be absolutely positive that you are ready, and that you are doing it for the right reasons.
There is absolutely no shame in waiting. My sister in law was 30 when she finally lost her virginity (and not from lack of boys trying). I have an old girlfriend who was in her 20's when she slept with a man for the first time.
If you are doing it to try and keep him, then you are doing it for the wrong reasons. If you are doing it "because everyone else does"< you are doing it for the wrong reasons. If you are doing it to shut him up, and because it won't be thqat bad, you are doing it for the wrong reasons.
Your first time only happens ONCE, and doing it for any reason that you might be ashamed of later, or for any reasons that you think you would change your mind years from now as to it being a good reason, are all wrong.
Once you have made the decision to go ahead with this, then I would mirror the others who have answered:
USE PROTECTION!!!!!
And make sure it si with someone who will take it slow and gentle, and who will respect you tomorrow... and who will take NO for an answer.

First time what? Driving, drinking, kissing, hugging, playing a certain sport, using a credit card, dealing with a bill collector, interviewing, buying a house, buying a car, renting an apartment, eating craw-fish, swimming, etc. Need a little more help on exactly what first time.

This question assumes that you are considering. Maybe you have the right person? Maybe any person? I can probably give you all the information that you already know.
But when it come down to it, it is your choice. You can only do this once, so don't screw it up.
One last observation: you will remember you first time all your life, so choose wisely.

What ever you mean by "first time", just make sure that you are willing, like it and ready to face consequences it could give you, but most of all do your best, make it safe and make sure it's the right thing.

just wait till its right for you..and make sure its someone u want to spend the rest of your life with...some guys dont prefer to think of futures with women but u know what..it seals the deal sometes...sometimes guys just want a one nite stand. just be careful hun!!!!

U know what- warm up, get yourself ready (protection & gel) go totally nude, & do it standing up in front of huge full length wide mirror.
