If you have a job that you hate, how will you leave a lasting impression as you quit? Will you tell off your boss/co-workers? I like my job (I’m a data entry person, entering product descriptions for my company’s website), but I think when it’s time for me to move on, I’ll enter alternative descriptions that REALLY describe the products. For example, “This is the ugliest chair I’ve ever seen”.

I don't want to hear realistic answers like "I'll give my 2 weeks notice" or "You want to leave a good lasting impression". I'm not really going to do what I described. I just want to hear what you would do if there were no negative consequences. Have some fun with this!

If I have a job I hate I will do the best that I can at it while looking for something more suitable. When I quit I will give a two week notice and leave in good standing. To do otherwise would not be right if a person has any ethics and integrity, and besides you never know when you might meet those people you work with in the job you hate one of them may be the hiring manager for that dream job that you find later on down the road.

the last place i quit, i didn't give notice and i wrote a letter to the owner of the company- telling why i was quitting after being there for almost 4 yrs. i also went over the managers' head when i wrote the letter to the owner.

Sounds like fun, but could be risky if you're not retiring upon leaving. Otherwise, plan on leaving that company off your resume!

you feel like telling them where to go but i think you really need to leave a good lasting impression,

you never know you might need their help one day or might come across one of your co-workers again and you really need to be professional.
