You have to start using Yahoo Photos by installing the special Yahoo Photo Toolbar.
I know they say it is still in Beta Mode but I have been using it for six months now. When you install the special toolbar, a new button will appear immediately to the right of Attachments.
The new button is called "Insert Photos".
You click on COMPOSE and enter the
recipients and Subject. Then you can start writing your E-mail. Whenever you want to insert a a Photo or Photos you click that new button and you will see all your Photos.
The ones you want to inser you drag over to the right and then click OK.

To be honest, the answer is: You can't safely send pictures in e-mails unless they are an attachment. You could try to embed them in the message, but most non-Outlook mail readers won't be able to understand. You could also send the message as an HTML mail, but then you would have to upload the images to a photo-sharing service (like Flickr) and put image links in the e-mail. And still, not all e-mail readers would understand the images.

The best thing to do is to simply attach the pictures, and let the person/people on the other end decide how best to view your pictures. It will also work with 100% of e-mail programs out there, so you don't have to worry about who will be able to read your message.

I hope this helps!

Try holding the left mouse button down to select the picture. When it is hilighted then right click on top of it and select copy. Then go to where you need to paste it, left click and look for the curser to be blinking then right click again and select paste.

If you want to embed images and sound in e-mails, then I recommend that you use Outlook Express to send the e-mail.
