You are, in fact, older... we all get older every day. But even more just because you have a second grandson? Naaaaah.... He just may make you feel younger when he has you on the floor playing with him. Enjoy!!! They grow up so fast!

I have been a grandparent since I was 37, and now have 6 with 2 more on the way. My eldest grandchild will be 17 next month. I am 53 and have never felt better:) You are not old until you have lost all of your MARVELS, and grandchildren are marvelous, indeed.

Yes. Second by second, you are getting older. The birth of your second grandson is irrelevant to this, however.

You should feel happy for all the reason you have cited; but why should you at all feel old, I do not understand. Becoming a grandfather does not make people older as much as not becoming one is proof of ones youth.

No you should feel younger and grateful. My four grandchildren can be a handful at times but they can also show you what life is all about. They put meaning in life. Just thank God you have someone to grow old for besides yourself.

How old are you?

If a male can reproduce at 15 and his child at 15...that could mean you are 30. No that's not old. In another 15 years that could mean you're a great-grandfather at 45 and a great-great-grandfather at 60, and if that child has a child at 15, you could make great-great-great grandfather at 75! Which is what I would consider old.

Why would you feel older? It is time for you to start getting ready to spoil him rotten and do all the things with your grandchild that you couldn't do when your child was growing up.

Congratulations Grandpa! Start practicing with the old ball and glove.

Congratulations! Enjoy your newest grandbaby. Sigh...

Now, don't go trying to dodge babysitting duty with claims of being too tired. I don't believe it! There's work to do. Feet up. Let's march now! You know how to sort laundry don't you? ; )
