When White Light is passedm thru a Prism it disperses into seven colours,namely Violet,Indigo,Blue,Green,Yellow,Orange and Red which is better known as VIBGYOR Colors,This Phenomenon is called Dispersion of light in visible spectra.

That is called a prism. That's when a white light sperates. It is still white light but we see it as different colors.

Try Googling "chromatic abberation", though I'm pretty sure this effect only applies to light which has passed through a telescope.

it is called DISPERSION.it results in splitting of white light into 7 colours.If these bands of colour r passed through inverted prism they again combine to form white light,it is called combination.Einstein also researched on it.
