I downloaded World of Warcraft tonight and signed up for the 14.99 a month i play silkroad which is free but i figured id see what everyone is talking about but it must be a newer version that everyones playing? because i started to play and the graphics werew horrible i stopped playing because theres no way i would pay 15 a month to play a game with such horrible graphics... so im thinking theres a newer version someone fill me in please???

I did the same thing. I was sooo excited to find out what everyone was raving about so I paid the $50 for the game took forever to load it to my computer and turns out it was crap. Well, not total crap, but surely not what I had expected. Needless to say I removed it from my computer and now the game just sits in my junk closet.

What kind of video card do you have? There are better options for your gaming experience if you have a nicer video card. My video card is crap!! I still think the game looks nice but when I went to my friend's house and saw how WoW plays on their computer with their very nice video card, the game looks absolutely amazing in comparison. It is a very colorful game, but yeah a little cartoonish. Final Fantasy XI is an older game but I think the graphics are a bit better. They are more realistic and detailed. I still think WoW is a great looking game though.

Before playing a game, you should trial first, and/or watching gameplay video. If you're only after nice graphic, WoW is not for you. However there's a reason it has 6 million subscriber, being the most succesful MMORPG. The game mechanic is very well designed, updated weekly and "farmers" are taken care seriously.

I have herd the graphics are ok not as bad as you say.Maybe you should try final fantasy online for better graphics,you can pick it up at a local gamestop.Or pick up the world of warcraft at the store and download maybe the online download is different from the disk download.

man the wow is the best mmorpg game that exist . the graphic may be a litle disney type but i love it with all my soul i dont say i am a gig that plays all day wow but i give it about 2-3 hours a day so you have missunderstand it try to play a litle more get about lvl 20 and then you will get as excited as all the players that play wow!!! :)

Are we talking about the same game??? I first started playing in December and I haven't stopped playing it. The graphics might be cartoonish but the game itself is great and the people that play it are awesome.

the only thing i can think of is that maybe the graphics were toned down, if you still have it installed look on the graphics tab and turn it all up even though the game is a bit cartoon-ish the graphics dont suck, though i love the game but i kno they are not top-notch graphics, for me though graphics dont make/break a game

there's a particular version of WoW it quite is better compatible with Vista then the older variations. at the same time as procuring the game, seem on the aspect of the container, on the bottom that's going to say compatible with ninety 8/ XP/ Vista
