About two weeks ago, I noticed an army ant wandering around the base of my toilet. Being a "junior entymologist" I just left him alone. But he has been no further than 16 inches away from the base of the toilet--FOR TWO WEEKS! It has gotten to the point where I want to take him outside into the field and let him join a freakin' colony or something already. He is always there! Could he be waiting for his comrades so he can let them know he has found water? Why doesn't he go away? Seriously, no stupid answers, please!

I don't think it is urine; I'm a chick and i aim well. Also, I live in Panama and there is no wood in any construction around here...

Ants have varying food sources AND they go through various lifecycles where they eat different things at different times of life.

Yes, they do usually go back to their nest and leave a chemical scent trail so the others can get back to where they found the food source.

It's possible that wood in the floor by the toilet or urine that hasn't been cleaned up, yet is attracting it.

Ok, I get it now. I see your moniker, "Chris420huff." 420 as in "yesca" or Mary Jane. "Huff" as in "huffing and puffing on Puff the Magic Dragon." How long have you been puffing in the bathroom? Does this ant appear every time you light one up in there? Maybe it's waiting for you to share.

Wait...maybe it's the general of the ant army and is planning an all-out attack on your stash. Yes, I see the brilliance of it now...it's scouting your toilet because that's where the smoke's coming from when you spark it up. I would take your little green bag and burn it all out on the lawn so those pesky ants don't get to it, just like Saddam did with the oil fields in Kuwait so the Americans couldn't get the oil. Do it!!! Do it, quick!!! They're coming any minute!!! Army ants always attack toilets first when they're going after hidden weed stashes. You can look it up.

He is probably a pervert ant. Or a stoner ant like said above.
Also possible that it isnt the same ant. I would say do not kill it, just let it be. If you start seeiing more, get traps or call an exterminator.
