may b u should start off conversation by going library to study together, sharing homeworks...etc stuffs like that, rather ask him straight to date wit him. this is to let him have the feeling that u share the same activities/ hobbies with him. We alwiz feel good with someone who share the common hobbies/ activites together. after building a good impression, then u can express ur feeling out.
I think its good 4 u and 4 him too. Both of u can understand each other better as time passes, not just by juding a book by its cover.
