You cannot separate Dr King from the Civil Rights movement, because that was who he was. It was his dream, his vision, his inspiration, that all men be equal. Although he was a black man, his dream had no color. He wished no ill on the whiteman, redman, yellowman, or black. He was a man of peace, a holyman, named after Martin Luther, the reformationist.

I really believe he knew he would eventually be killed for doing what he did, and he willing sacrificed himself for the greater good of the people. Can you think of another great person that did that 2,000 years ago? No Dr King is not a god, or a saint, he was just a man. But he did great things.

That all people would live in peace without the fear of prejudice and war. Dr King was a minister who devoted and gave his life for the fair treatment of all black citizens. His dream was for all races to love each other and for the white people to accept other races as equal people. We have come along way but still have need for improvement. We need love and acceptance for everyone including black americans.
