U cannot divide by zero
4000+2000 is 6000 and definitely not zero.

Arithmetically 4000 + 2000 is 6000 only.

With the help of Algebra,
one can prove the summation to any thing... why restrict the out come to numeric value of zero only
a + b = c where "a" , "b" & "c" can be defined as per wish.

Besides there are geometry, statistics, probability, calculus.. etc each can give you fascinating interpretations...

assume that the value of 4=2=0
then 4000+2000=0000=0

let a = 4000, b = 2000 and c = 6000

a + b = c

Multiply both sides by a + b

(a + b) (a + b) = c (a + b)

a*a + ab + ab + b*b = ca + cb

a*a + ab - ca = cb - b*b - ab

a( a + b -c) = -b(a + b - c)

so a = - b

a + b = 0

a( a + b -c) = -b(a + b - c)

so a = - b

Um... Isabelle, I don't think you're supposed to divide by zero.
