People who have no idea should not answer a question. DDR400 and PC3200 are the exact same thing. Different names, same memory. If you are looking to purchase some try www.newegg.com. Prices beat Best Buy, Circuit City etc... by a long shot and shipping is cheap and fast. If you look at this link at the speed heading you will see where it says DDR 400 (PC 3200). Click on that and sort from there.
Just out of curiosity are you looking at an AMD socket 939 or 754 based mobo? If so, 939 can use dual-channel memory (sold in matched pairs) while 754 can't. For example, use 2x512mb for 1 gb in a socket 939 board or a single 1gb stick in a socket 754 board.

there isn't any such element as PC2 3200 RAM, there is in reality DDR workstation 3200 RAM. So that's going to paintings see you later because the memory slot takes DDR RAM. For DDR RAM the most important clock % is DDR PC3200 which runs at four hundred MHz, yet when it replaced into DDR2 RAM the bottom % will be workstation 4200 which runs at 553 MHz so see you later because the pc takes DDR RAM, that's going to be completely compatible with workstation 3200 RAM of any form. Have a effective day Ken

Vendors will list the ram by both DDR 400 and PC 3200, there are other classifications as well.

Yes, but there are two kinds of DDR-400 Ram. One is DDR 1 and the other is DDR-2 just make sure you don't mix the two.
Hope this helps,

First of it's DDR not DR, stands for double data rate. And the answer is yes it is the same as long as it's DDR1 ram. I don't know if it still holds true for DDR2 ram.
