Do you have math in school , 3/8 = 6/16 so 7/16 would be taller by 1/16

First make the denominators equal, and by doing so multiply 8 by 2 so both are 16.
Second whatever you do to the bottom you must do to the top so 3x2 is 6
Third compare
6/16 7/16
Well 7 is bigger then 6 by one so 7/16" is taller then 3/8" by 1/16".

Hope this helps...

7/16 is taller because 3/8 is 6/16
7/16 has an extra 1/16 added to it

7/16" would be taller.

If you multiply the numerator and denominator of 3/8" by the compound fraction 2/2, you can then see that 3/8" equals only 6/16" - which is 1/16" SHORTER than 7/16".
