I was making payments, it wasn't the full amount. So child services suspended it.

As long as you owe back child support and you are not fulfilling the terms of a court order, your license will be suspended. The answer to your question is best summed up by the previous response: pay your bills!

This same thing happened to my husband - even when he was making the full payment! You'll need to get in touch with the county office that your payments go to - if you can get a hold of a live person and reason with them about your payments and your good faith, you should be able to get your license back. Just explain that you need your license to be able to drive to work! Good luck - it can be rough going.

oh my god here in australia you get told to pay but 90% never pay and there is nothing child support can do,i guess that you coukd ring them and ask them to put you on a paymkent arrangement and get your license back if they say no then stop paying maintenance and drive without a licence,gees you americans sure have it hard we are so easy done by here in australia my ex owes my over 8000 and i know ill never see a cent from him he eveen gets to keep his tax return every year

I think you would have to contact child services and ask them what you need to do. They are the ones who set the guidelines.
