Can anyone tell me if billy the kid really had buckteeth?

I'm related to him so i would really like to have an answer since i do have a overbite.

According to some legends, Billy the Kid supposedly had buckteeth, but I have seen some actual photographs of him, and he really didn't seem to have buckteeth, in the photos. The photos were quite old, and they had been reproduced many times, as you might imagine, they were not the best quality. His teeth looked pretty ordinary to me.
