are you sure thats what you heard? because, if that was the word, they would have bleeped it. the discovery channel has all kinds of shows with adults that say that, and they bleep it every time. ever see american chopper? i cant imagine that they'd intentionally let that out there on their kid's network.

I've noticed that sh*t is not viewed with as much contempt as it once was... I've heard it a lot on several networks these last few months...

...Nevertheless, it does surprise me that Discovery Kids featured it...

On a side note, I honestly wish there were no such thing as 'cuss words'... If these words were viewed by American society as just another part of the 'English' language, no one would be offended, and we'd have a wider vocabulary to work with...

T.V. today is just like that. Children even in 1st grade hear cussing in school by fellow classmates. Children in 5th-8th grade know way more then adults knew back in the "dinosaur age"! lol!

I wouldnt make a huge deal over it because kids hear it everywhere! 3rd graders watch pg-13 movies and sometimes even R. parents should know that most of these movies are not innappropriate (even pg-13 and R) because school is more violent and more commen to swear words then most movies!

Good luuck and I hope i helped.

I have a very hard time believing that someone said "sh*t" on Discovery Kids and they got away with it. it's certainly not appropriate and I just don't think that Discovery would put something like that on the air.

Depends on the age of the children watching. Toddler through five years old, probably no. Five to twelve...that's a bit more appropriate. Further up the ages, it gets less wrong to say.

No, but everything is becoming more lax. I've been noticing more bad words that aren't being cut out of songs on the radio anymore, like sh*t, a**, and b*tch.

I think you might have heard wrong. It is against the law to even say that word on TV. No matter what show or channel, the FCC won't allow it.

in todays society, "****" is nothing in this sick world. Just go on google with the safe search off and type in something as simple as "facial". It is not appropraite, but its not like ur child doesnt already kno the word
