Through a special structure in the egg, the CORION, which is a membrane that allows gas exchange with the outside. In a similar way, excretion substances accumulate in another structure, the AMNIOS. Embryos have the same metabolic needs as adults, only they solve them a different way.

They dont. Just like human embryos dont breathe. Everything that a chicken embryo needs is in the egg.

The chick embryo breathe by the small pores in its shell There is space between the internal egg membrane and shell(i.e., broad side of the egg).

When you look at an egg closely, do you see all those little bumps? Those are tiny openings so the chick can breath.

The eggshell is pitted and it is very thin. The baby chick breathes through the membrain that surrounds it.
