They run in different events don't they?
I think Michael would win the 200, Justin the 100.The records speak for themselves.
You couldn't afford a ticket to see that one though.

Michael Johnson is now 38 years old and he retired in after the 2000 Sydney games, so he hasn't run competitively for 6 years, nor has he trained.

I'd be he could still be close to 22.00 for 200m and under 50.00 for 400m, but Gatlin would blow his doors off....

BTW, the Masters (age 40) WR for Johnson's events are:

200m - 20.64 Troy Douglas, NED - 8/27/03

400m - 47.82 Enrico Saraceni, ITA - 7/25/04
Lee Evans of the US is credited with a 47.5 (hand-timed) - 4/89

I was not moaning over the outcome in 2003 and I am definitely not after this race!! Matt and Kevin are my two favorites. But even if it was Jr. and Johnson in the top two, I would grip because they all had the resources to find out the weather and it seems to me the DeWalt team and Shell team planned for it a little better then the other teams by pushing themselves to the front for the win or second place in the event of rain. As a crew chief, that is one extra thing that you should pay attention to before the race. What kind of weather is expected all day? If rain, then when is it expected to arrive at the track and then try to push your driver to the front before it arrives. Way to go Kenseth and Harvick!!!!

D*MN. that would be a helluva race. i would love to see that one. imma go with Michael. He really didn't have any competition in his era, so when he was running, he won't really trying, he was just doin it. but Just be out there HUSTLIN!!! Justin would definitely push Michael, and Michael would push that much harder back at Justin, but when its all said and done, Michael would go home with the win.

I think Michael would take him. Justin is a great sprinter but racing against greatness (MJ) would make Justin choke a little.
