yes, their is definetly a list of items. i cant remember now but my local post office had it up on the wall so i guess you had something to read while you were waiting in line for 30 min lol. i know its generally weird stuff that i dont know why you would mail it in the first place like bleach and some liquids. contact your post office, im sure they have the list handy.

The list is usually posted at post offices. I tried to find it on the USPS website (www.usps.com) for you without success. The site is not intuitive making it hard to navigate.
I did a search on the site for Restricted items, but it gave me three pages of results so I didn't check them out.

flamable items and liquor are not allowed. Illegal items such as drugs are not allowed. Same holds true for explosive materials such as ammunition. Go to Firstgov.com and look up USPS.
