i love all punk bands (excluding emo, which may or may not be punk depending on who you're talking to)... my favorite old school band would probably have to be between the dead kennedys and the ramones (not like i've got anything against the pistols but they were short-lived so i don't have as much stuff of theirs). current punk band favorites would have to include bad religion, rancid, casualties, exploited, social distortion, briggs, yeah that's pretty much all i can think of right now...

Violent Femmes are playing about 40 miles from me next month on the 12th (thought you'd like to know). How do you spell that sound you make when you stick your tongue out and blow past it? Well, anyway, I'll be at the concert. What will you be doing July 12th?
I guess the Sex Pistols, but my close second place punk bands would be The Replacements, Black Flag, Pond Scum (local band), NOFX, and the Henry Rollins Band. There's a lot more, but I only get two (imaginary) points for this question, and it's not worth the time, listing them all.
Almost forgot, In Aisle 8 (pronounced: Annihilate) was a pretty good local band around here, too. When they broke up, I got the official In Aisle 8 cymbal, when I bought their drum set. Sold the set, kept the cymbal.

ok here are a few bands i listen to and if you consider ne of them punk then i did a god job answering this question.

I don't really like labels much. these are just a few bands no matter what type of label they have i listen to. And no punk doesn't suck. but labels do. i hope i answered your question.

Sorry ,I don't like punk music but if we all liked the same thing life would be pretty boring.I like country music the most.It all comes down to personal choice not which style is better.
