Wel maybe the files its still in use by a program. Try CTRL+ALT+DEL to see the programs that are currently running and terminate those related to WindowsMediaPlayer in the Process Tab. There you will find a file named "wmplayer.exe" or similar, select it then "Finish" the process.

After that, go and try to delete your file.

This method is similar to the above that said to reboot and/or go to SafeMode because that way you force all the programs to go down.

Restart your PC. BEFORE it gets to the WIndows XP screen tap the F8 key on your keyboard to get into safe mode. If you get a choice, choose SAFE MODE or SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING. It will look funny but all the services are turned off --kind of a diagnostic mode. Hit YES when it asks you if you want safe mode. Find the file to delete. Then just hold the SHIFT key down when you get on top of the file you want to delete and right click it and choose delete. POOF! Gone> Best regards,

find the file its self on your hard drive by either going to my computer C drive documents and settings owner (or what ever your user is) my video thats probably where it is try deleting it from there by draging the file to the recycle bin on the desktop if you cant find it use search (in the start menu) if that doesn't work the file is either not where it shows it is (possibly already deleted) or its corrupted try refreshing the page/program

First scan the file with an Anti-Virus and an Anti-Spyware prog, just got a feeling that it's one of those.

Else, reboot to "Safe Mode" and delete.

use an antivirus (pref avg) to get rid of it. if it still duznt go, remove all valuable data from the DRIVE (not disk) and format it. Thats the last resort, and it always works!
