Well I'm an Aussie and already here but that is something I would not miss for the world. Not just to watch my beloved Socceroo's but to see and be gob smacked first hand by the brilliance of the teams that would participate. It would be such a privilege to see them play first hand. The atmosphere must be electric. That would be an experience that would be hard to beat.

No definately not, Australia does not have the population interest for the world game and hence the sponsership dollar is not as much as it would be in other countries. This is why FIFA dictate to the world cup referees who they want to make the final group of eight teams. Think about it, the sponsorship and following would not be there if Ghana vs Australia in the world cup final, reputations and corporate fortunes would be lost overnight ! Pssssst, The world cup final four has already been decided behind closed doors, but dont tell the paying public.;0)

Sydney Olympic in 2000 was one of the best ever, according to the former President of IOC, Juan Antonio Samaranch. There's no reason why Australia can't do even better at hosting a Soccer World Cup.

The only thing is, I guess, they'll have to build heaps more soccer (multi-purpose) stadiums. We're talking big, no, HUGE investment. Seeing that soccer isn't the biggest thing in Oz, I doubt they (the government) wants to bid for it. Unless, perhaps, Australia wins this year's World Cup!

But I personally would love to see World Cup comes to Australia, cause I'm already here, mate!!!

Yea, why not? Australia seems like a great country to hold the World Cup. I bet the next World Cup that's held in Asia will be Australia (b/c it's now part of the Asian Football Confederation).
