Can I first tell you , please don't worry, traveling between Serbia and Montenegro is completely safe!!! I've done it many times and never had a problem :-))) But you will need to show your passport at the border now....
I can't tell you the exact price of the buses between Beograd and Podgorica but I think it could be something between 15 and 20 euros each way....
There are 15 buses a day and the journey takes at least 10 hours depending on the bus you take....
But can I suggest you use the train instead. It will be a little cheaper than the bus...(15.5 euros) and the journey only takes 7 hours.. There are 4 trains a day...including one night train...
I would recommend if you are going in the summer to book at least a day ahead (especially if you are traveling over night) on both the bus and the train..because they get very crowded with Serbian tourists traveling down to the coast...
