As to Question 3 here is my reply:
I have been using Mac for more than 12 years now. For the last 3 years I've also been using a PC (w/ windows OS) only because of some softwares I like that aren't available for Mac OS. But I would always prefer using a Mac anytime anywhere. One more thing besides the fabulous Mac OS, Mac hardwares are very reliable and durable.

Apple technology brings World Cup updates to millions
By Jim Dalrymple
Chances are if you’re watching highlights from the FIFA World Cup matches on television, you are seeing Apple technology hard at work. Highlights from the world’s most popular sport are being prepared using multiple Apple products and technologies.
The biggest of the television networks using Apple products is the Host Broadcast Service (HBS), which is a collection of production groups brought together specifically for the 2006 World Cup. From its master control center to the dozens of cameras at each match, the production team is responsible for everything from managing the feeds coming back to the Munich headquarters to quickly delivering highlights to mobile phones within minutes of the action happening on the field. ....

Pc is very diffrent from mac, and i will say that even though i am a pc user myself (the software i use works best on PC), you will love it. It is fast, stable, and great all together.
Boot Camp is what you are hearing about, this allows you to install windows on a mac book pro (intel) and have it on a diffrent partition of the hard drive.
It is not a perminate change, but.. it isnt temporary.
Boot Camp is a BETA!
It wouldnt be wise if you are not experienced user with mac to install it. It could brick your hard drive, meaning render it useless.
2. The warrenty. The reason the warenty is probably short is because of the OVERHEATING factor. Recently mac's have been overheating. Just do a bit of research and you will see what i am saying.
infact, i have read recently the mac actually puts black marks on the top where it overheats, it can be removed by fingernail polish.
Though i say all these negative things, It would be nearly impossible to imagine a pc has never overheated or never stained the top layer.
Im just pointing things out.
3. Well, the mac would be the right decision based on what you use the computer for.
And.. how experienced with computers you are in the first place.
I would reccomend going to CompUSA, or Bestbuy (where i live they carry at least 1 mac not a notebook, but a mac) and just test out the interface and see what you think.
also, if you will be using this computer for work, make sure the software you use for work is compatable with the mac.
Enjoy! =p

MAC commercials make you think that PC's are bulky, repetitive, and way behind. What's ironic is that MACs recently ditched IBM as the manufacturer for their CPU technology. They went with Intel and the "x86" platform. So much for being unique and innovative.
The x86 is what the PC uses. This is why you can run Windows now on newer MACs without the need of an "emulator" which slows things down. The truth is that there is nothing you can do on a MAC that you can't do on a PC. MACs are generally better out of the box and easier to use, but they are by no means more powerful. In fact, there are more applications available on PCs right now. Plus, if a MAC breaks down, good luck repairing it. Half of what makes up a MAC is proprietary, unlike most PC's. That's the part you don't hear a lot about.
Nothing against MAC's, but they're just a pretty package in my opinion.

The program that allows you to run Windows on Mac is called 'Boot camp'. You can find more information here: http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/.
Just remember, Apple is not supporting bootcamp beta. You're on your own to try it out.
Depend on your needs, you can go either PC or Mac. Here are a few things from my own experience in terms of whether to buy a PC or Mac:
A few pointers:
- PCs are cheap
- PCs are easier and cheaper to upgrade
- wide range of software selections for PCs
- Mac easy to use
- Fewer viruses towards Mac

MAC IS EEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLL
it has a short warranty because its a piece of CRAP
WINDOWS is a TRILLION times better then mac
everyone uses windows so you can easily get pretty much anything you want for windows also
Macs freeze a LOT yes they look for better both software and hardware then windows and Mac is sometimes easyer to use for things like music/video ect but its FAR less powerful Stay with Windows
Also you'd have to learn how to use a Mac
Finally Windows is backed by the richest guy in the nation and possibly in the world ( currency exchange rates make it hard to tell) so windows will be here FOREVER Bill gates did it first bill gates did it right
(Bill gates richest person in nation CEO and co-founder of microsoft windows)

mac is the right decision depending on what you want to use it for....for ex: if you're an artist or a studio musician then yeah go ahead get one it 'll come in handy for all those purposes...but if you are someone that runs an economic business...you want to be compatible to others....Macs are great. it just depends on what the usage is for...
