Are they right in their beliefs and methods?
Just bra-burning non-shaving idiots?
Or a little of both?

I think feminists are a diverse group of people prone to social politics, problems and advantages like any group of people. The message that we are equal to men is wonderful. Feminists are not as easy to spot as you might think. As should be done with any group, don't stereotype, and learn about the diversity of ideas, methods, and beliefs in feminism.

The modern feminist is a woman who wants her respect in the workplace and at home. Bra-burning and not shaving are mostly things of the past. All femimists want is to be considered as important as men. Men and women are different, but equal. Feminists are just trying to advance the position of women in society. Did you know that in America, a woman doing the same job as a man makes 25% less money? It is truly sad.

Not all feminists dont shave or not wear bra a lot of them have had an abusive father or husband and they have seen how their mother or they have been treated and i dont think they are unbalanced people because they have their reasons and i dont think anyone should judge them for their choice. Some feminists even date and they are not real close with they guy until they completely trust him because of what they have seen in their childhood or their life now.Judge not lest ye be judged.

Unfortunately because of the more radical, militant among their ranks many people equate feminists with the so-called feminazis. Unfortunate, but not altogether undeserved characterization of the fairer sex. I love and adore women, and appreciate any woman's desire to be taken seriously. The idea that men are unnecessary and that there is no real difference between men and women is ludicrous. I do and will always treat women like ladies even when they choose to act otherwise. For those who chose that route I just minimize my contact with them. Every group has its extremists we just have to remember they do not speak for all.

Ask yourself some questions--

Do you think women should have the right to vote?
Do you believe women should be paid equally for equal work?
Do you agree that women should not be beaten or raped for wearing pants or going out unescorted by male relatives?
Do you believe women should be allowed to attend college?
Do you think women should be allowed to choose their own husbands?
Do you agree that females are citizens?

If you answered yes to even one of my questions, then guess what geniuses: You're a feminist.

It's not that hard to figure out, it's really not.

Every woman is a feminist. It just depends what image of "womankind" she is trying to portray. You can't be a woman without promoting a certain image of womanhood, and feminism is now so wide and all-encompassing a term that basically all you can say about it is that it's theories promoting certain ideas about what it means to be a woman.

It depends on what type of feminist one is. I am a pro liberal feminist male. However, radical feminism, and traditional feminism are extremens that instead of empowering I believe that just make females bitter activist.

I think that some are nuts, but many are very courageous women. Even today, women are not treated equally to men. And it makes me sad when other women do not recognize this and support those women who are fighting to give them equal rights.

I'd say they're a little bit of both. some of them are complete nutjobs and some of them have their hearts in the right place but they go about it in the completely wrong way.

I took a Women's Studies 101 class and basically had fiminism shoved down my throat for a few months. Some of it was legitimate, and some of it was just bitching.
