The anwser about type A personalities is true, but often i find it's a simple pattern caused by a simple answerr that happens is most jobs that you spend large amounts of time at: TIME! You spend so much time with these people, and in a show you need to rely on your co-stars, so you get comfortable and relaxed and friendly and well, you can see where it goes from there. You'll see the same thing happen among the crew of most shows. Honestly it happens at any job that yur at for more than the usual 9-5.

Life during production is extremely stressful, and involves many many long hour days. Over emphasizing positive interaction, and even affection, helps to minimize this. Also, such behavior assists in forcing a type of quick-bonding that helps actors and crew deal with the demands put on them. The end result is that "family" feeling actors often reference at the close of a show or film shoot.

For the same reason soldiers show affection for each other -- you go through war together, don't you? You battle through the script, the rehearsals, the audiences, and you share this incredible experience, opening up your emotions, and then you have all this energy that no one else really understands.
A wonderful acting teacher I had once gave the wonderful advice to fall in love with everyone you share the stage with -- it helps create the bond a show needs. If you love someone, you're more likely to help them if they slip up during a performance.

Actors and "theatre people" tend to have type A personalities... which means they are very loud and outspoken. Life is a stage for most actors and crave attention and affection. Over the countless hours of rehearsal this becomes obvious - on stage, contact makes the audience feel connected and warm in their seats - a weird concept - but think,,, its true

Depends on what you mean. Working on a project together whether stage or film means working closely together for long periods of time. The result is often bonding among actors as close or closer than family. I have experienced this in community theatre and have read that it happens on film sets as well.
The intimate relationships can easily move past the platonic in this atmosphere.

They are good actors and actresses. They are just putting on a show. Right after the picture has been taken, they fight. ;-)

The celebrities are aware of PR; they don't want to seem unpleasant.
Regular ol' not-making-much-money actors are used to expressing their emotions openly; plus, we've probably done some theatre together and had a good time.

Its just the porfession that brings them together.
Like any trade, the workers & officers spent so much time together, they become good friends, and share their happiness, grief, family matters etc.
Its a natural thing for anyone.
Subject to: it does not cross the borders.
Then it would be a personal affair.

They're not. That's just what they force you to see on T.V. Don't believe everything you see and everything you hear. Peolle (including artist) change when a cam is on, or are in the public eye.
