My husband is bringing his kids to visit for the first time this summer.
His oldest daughter (14) has moderate eczema. What are some good lotions and skin care products I can buy for her to use here?

I use the Walmarts brand dry skin cream...it's the generic type of Eucerine which costs 10 times more...for my daughter I apply usually before she goes to bed....and definately after being in the shower or swimming...which I try to limit due to her condition. This works just as well than what her doctor prescribed to me for her and alot less....Good Luck:)

My little boy had eczema on his cheeks. I was not sure what method to use but I didn't want to make my boy go through any surgery treatments at this young age. Some suggested a plastic surgeon since it was in a very visible location but our family doctor recommend this natural guide.

Best Eczema Treatment?

Eiledel (prescription)
Original EUCYRNE cream (not lotion). My kid has it and it seems to work well with the $60/tube Eiledel not covered by my insurance.

Aveeno products are nice...At 14 she should know that the duration of baths/showers have a direct effect on the severity of a flair up - short showers luke warm water .

well you cant get a lot of stuff without getting a prescription, but there is a lotion called lac-hydrin and it works fairly well for exyzma because the lactic acid in the lotion makes skin turn over cells quicker. i dont know any others than those, but you should probaly ask a pharmisicist about it also.

eucerin definitely works great! i like the really thick cream in the jar. a little bit greasy but it does work and makes it less itchy and peely.
