I have an old Snappy still video capture device that I can't use on my new computer without an adapter, which I've been unable to find.

ON THE COMPUTER: There is a serial male 4-prong socket, about 3/4" long, wide on top, narrower on bottom.

ON THE SNAPPY: There is a male parallel socket, one row of 13 pins, one of 12, wide on top, narrow on bottom, about 1.5" long.

On the internet I've come close, but the male/female pieces don't work out. And I'd rather not go to the bother and expense of having a parallel port installed on the computer...and I'm not capable of doing it myself.

I've got an XP-2 PC.

Thanks.

I don't think is possible, those ports are old kind of ports that if they compatible there would not be difference between them.

What I have seen in walmart are parallel to USB adapters, very likely your PC have a USB port, besides, if it does not work, you can return it. If you have notice, newer brand name computers don't come with parallel ports, but there are some old printers that only have that port, like my deskjet t45, the only thing is... they are a little bit unstable.
