A great pitcher who played for the Met, Angels, Astros and Rangers. Known for his high velocity fastball that reached in the 100 mph's. He threw many no hitters and a whole bunch of 1 and 2 hit ballgames. Known for his commitment to conditioning his body and throwing arm. Currently his baseball card is worth the most money in box sets for the years he played.
It was once said that there are 7 places in the past that you would never want to be at: One is being on the deck of the Titanic, another is in the batters box against Nolan Ryan...

The greatest, and hardest punching, fastball pitcher of all time! He played for the New York Mets, the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers, in that order. The Astros regret ever letting him go, since he still had plenty of "juice" left in him. One of the greatest pitchers of all time. A Hall of Famer.

One of the best basebal players Texas ever produced. The Astro tried to screw him over on his contract and he finished his career for the Texas Rangers. He still lives south of Houston and is a very nice man.
Known for his knuckle ball.

you might ask what team he did not play on!
more no hitters than any pitcher. Ask Robin Ventura, he once charged the mound after gettin plunked and got a bunch of knots put on his head by a pitcher twice his age! One tough SOB!
isnt that like asking who Jesus was?
