A first name would seem appropriate. I just think forcing anything would be a bad idea. Come to an agreed upon decision.

Depends. Older kids tend to feel the stepmother tries to replace the real mom, and call them by their first names or make a cute nickname for them. Younger ones won't have much of a stigma about calling them mom. My friend calls her stepmother Mom #2. ^_^

Mine (2 1/2 yrs old) calls me by my first name, but I'd like to be called something! I love her so much, but I don't know. She calls me mama sometimes when she's been over for the weekend. She's great!

ive called mine by her name since i was like 7 and she doesnt mind but thats what every1 decieded. w/e u do plz dont make them call u/her mom or mother or w/e they call their birth mom.their father mother the child and stepparent should decied 2gether so everyone agrees with and likes the decision. and dont make the birth mother think ur trying 2 replace her n ne way cuzthats just plain RUDE!

Depends on the relationship. You can call her 'mom', or by her first name, or 'ma insert name here' (example Ma Lyn), or you two can discuss the options. Whatever you are both comfortable with! : )

my first answer would be: anything that he feels comfortable calling you and you are not offended by. But as I've had a couple, Ma, mom, your name, Mrs. your last or first name, are a few.

I call mine my step-monster. That is being VERY nice. She not only physically abused me, but she also physically abused own her 4 children(my half-siblings).

Anything he wants to that isn't obscene. My stepdaughter uses my name as do my kids with their steps.
