It depends on how much trust you have with the other person. Have they done things that are honorable and trustworthy in the past that this one incident doesn't erase everything else? If so, then you probably can survive something major. If not, then you probably cannot forgive and forget.

No, not that easy. It will come back in your mind. you forgive them to let YOURSELF heal. So that you will not be eaten up with bitterness. You will never really forget, but as time passes it won't be on your mind, unless someone you live with has really hurt you. Pray about it and you will feel better. Be honest with this person and maybe even tell them that you need your space to get over what as happened.
