Does anyone know how some gets points, and why we get points?
I don't get it!

When you're on the front page or one of the category pages, there are three tabs.
Open questions - These are questions you can answer and get two points for each answer. If you write a great answer, it's more likely to be selected as best, for which you can get ten points and possibly up to 50 points in thumbs up ratings later.
Unresolved questions - You get one point each time you vote on what should be the best answer for one of these questions. (You don't get a point for voting "No Best Answer")
Resolved questions - You get one point each time you look at one of these questions and rate the best answer with either a thumbs up or a thumbs down.
If you do this daily, you'll get to the next level much quicker and you'll have fewer limits on Yahoo! Answers. Check out the scoring system page for details: http://answers.yahoo.com/info/community_guidelines.php
And although you do lose five points each time you ask a question, you also get three points back when you select the best answer.
No there aren't any big prizes. It's just fun and informative.

just answer a question and you get points the points are just for others to see how you are at answering questions

answer a question to get points and you get points well if you where me you where in it for the FIFA tickets that I don't believe anyone actually won and now its for the prizes they offer for answering questions

just answer some question and u will get points
if u get best answer u will get 10 points.
now do one thing just give my answer as best answer

etc.
Why? Dunno. don't see the point.
