go from Lafayette to new iberia LA. oil drillers, oil service co's for miles everyone has help wanted signs beside road. they will train you. my son just got job on an oil rig. i took him down there.
go to any town north of lake ponchatrain on I-12 (Hammond, Covington, Slidell). construction booming. people leaving NO for higher ground. rich people. help wanted signs everywhere.
i just drove through there last week. i have never seen so many jobs available in my life.

I live in the New Orleans area. THere are plenty of jobs that are paying top dollar. All of the fast food hiring, restaurants, hotels, construction etc. Housing can be a problem if you don't have any connections so check that out first before coming otherwise you might find yourself sleeping in your car.
