Because college students are adults and can make their own decisions. If you think it shouldn't be allowed on campus, it shouldn't be allowed anywhere.

Because people live there who are adults. Beyond that you'd have to check with the Governors or Regents of the school. Universities reflect the society they serve.

college kids are going to drink regardless - i think its better that a college campus allows the students to drink on-campus, because otherwise, students will drive somewhere to drink and that puts more intoxicated drivers on the road.

University is about more than academic learning. You can learn other stuff there as well. Like drinking.
