Yes, the short term effects are:
problems with memory and learning
distorted perception
trouble with thinking and problemsolving
loss of motor coordination
increased heart rate
And, the users always think it has NO effects. Yeah, right...denial at it's best.

Would I want someone who is under the influence of weed to:
fix my car
be my doctor
be my nurse
take care of my pets
take care of my kids
be behind me in a car
or do anything that will impact my life or the lives of my loved ones?

Absolutely not! They may not value my life or that of my loved ones but I do.

The person using it should be declared illegal and deported to Afghanistan, where he can obtain & smoke all the pot his heart desires. While there he can play some music for the Talibaan Bastards. Sounds like a good plan.

I believe it should be legal for medicinal purposes only.

Cigarettes are one thing, but making it easier for teens to get pot let alone smoke it without fear of much punishment would make things worse. To me, it's like the argument of lowering the drinking age. 16-year olds are just learning to drive. You don't need to legalize drugs to the point that younger teens are able to do it more freely. They've got enough on their plate.

Obviously, those that are going to do it, will find ways to do it. That can be said about any drug. However, as soon as you legalize it or lower the age, you are making it easier for less responsible people to get it to even younger victims.

No - it should be available like cigarettes and taxed. Pot is much less dangerous, addictive and causes much less trouble than alcohol.

It should be perfectly legal, but only for medical use. If you think about it, it is good for you in some ways while it destroys you in others.
