Terrific series! Terrific postseason! Full of exciting moments. Hats off to the Hurricanes, they certainly derserved it. Very proud of the Oilers. I really wanted them to win. But they made for a tremendous Game 7. Was nice to see Rod Brind'Amour hoist the Cup.

But now I'm sad that my life will be NHL-free for the next 4 months . . .

It sucks.
Thank's for the patronising platitudes
13 years since the Stanley Cup was last in Canada
It will be a while before some of the Southern franchises fold for poor ticket sales. (how many kids play hockey in Charleston S. C. ?)
Gross that Winnipeg, Quebec city and the cities in the Maritimes have no teams.,
Expansion and big Yankee money brought the standards down. I remember the game in the 1950's and early1960's. Many of today's players would not have had sufficient talent to get into the league then.
The writing is on the wall. Huge numbers of Canadian children have switched to soccer because of the equipment cost, lack of ice time and the violence that has entered the game, to substitute for talent.
In 10 year's time you will see that I am not spouting nonsense. Enjoy it while it's still viable.
It will then be an American game with European players. (shades of Steinbrenner, the yankees, 4 other big T. V. markets and a residue of goat teams that have little World Series chances.)

One of the best finals I've seen in a long time - cheered for the underdog Oilers, but the Canes deserved it - had a great season and were truly one of the best teams in the league this year.

Edmonton gave it a great shot without some of the big offencive stars that Carolina had , and roll the dice goal tending. Congratulations Carolina and I'm proud of you for making it a great series Edmonton.

Go HURRICANES! My hometown team - it is great. I can hardly wait for the parade tomorrow. Did not get last game tickets, I thought we would win in 5 games. Oilers are a tough team.

Stanley Fever is still bursting high!!!

I just wish the network wouldn't cut off the celebration so early!!! I love seeing the winning team hoist the Stanley Cup over their heads and give their, "Ahhh, it was a great game" speech.

Yeah ... I loved watching it!!!

the OILERS did Canada proud by overcoming the odds and making it to game 7

I want the OILERS to win the cup next year!

Are all you OILER fans drowning your sorrows in beer right now?
I know I feel like it. :(

Hey, armystud yo. If you're feeling up to it, why don't you swing by Philly for some old time hockey brotherly love? Flyers haven't won in a while and I need someone to take it out on.
