I sure wish they would. I think for the most part, people are just assholes. It's the worst and most inherent part of our nature. It kinda makes me ashamed to be human. At the same time, I don't tell other people how to live their lives, what religion if any they should follow, who they should or shouldn't love, etc. The only people I stand against are those that would have the rest of the world living under their doctrines or beliefs.

Because people are human meaning none are perfect but so many think they are. People think they have all the answers and because you are not as perfect as they are they feel the need to correct you and tell you. Naturally this is all hype anyways. It is unfortunate that you can't make it through life without people sticking their nose where it shouldn't be but then sometimes it's actually done, rarely but at times, because someone actually cares. If that's the case be thankful that you found someone that cares about you but then for the other 99.9% you just have to find some way to tolerate.

People actually do live their own lives. I would occasionally like to be in someone elses shoes and would like others to take a walk in my shoes, it only works with shoes, not lives. Mine is mine, yours is yours.
We can't leave others alone because we are social beings.
The more important question for me is: Why are some people jerks and other people not jerks and how can I avoid the jerks?

Because of websites like this one! No, seriously, many people seem to seek out other's issue if only as a diversion from their own. Psychologists call this self-defeating behavior, where one in engages in activities designed to NOT solve their own problems or complete tasks.

No person can be the center of the universe. There might be something inspiring or motivating about someone's life so other people chose to be updated about what's happening to him. If prying turns out to be very disturbing and insulting, reacting to it will be much worse. Try not to look important, they will eventually get tired.

Humans are naturally curious, but obviously, some people take it too far. Maybe you need to ask these people to tend to the grass in their own back yard, before they start looking at every one else's.

they think they are right and the only ones who are right and that everyone who does not live the way they do are wrong.
so they think for the "sake of the children" they must involve themselves and then cause more destruciton than help.
