Your egg has 24hrs to get from your ovary to your uterus. Sperm can live up to 72hrs. It depends on where your egg is, too. If it just came out of the ovary or in the mouth of the Fallopian Tube, then it will be the 72hrs. If the egg is almost to your uterus then the time frame is shorter. Most sperm are fast swimmers and some are slow. So you do only have a 72hr window to work with. Good luck!

Depends on the quality of the relationship. If you have just come from a bar and have just finished a drunken carnal liaison with a complete loser, the sperm will reach the egg before you finish your post-coital cigarette. If you are in a committed solid, steady relationship, the sperm often ask for directions and end up circling the fallopian highway indefinitely!
