Please, try your best. It won't be easy, but I honestly do want to understand some of why there are still 36% or so of Americans who approve of him. I want to find out what I'm clearly amazing.

Irish Bastard...how do you know that I'm too young? Seems like a wild guess. And yes, my question is probably quite loaded. I was inspired by another new question about Bush-haters having to explain themselves.

But the rest of the answers so far are truly making me feel good!

President Bush is a wonderful president! And you are wrong in the polls...the latest polls show a 40% rating. 82% percent of this poll are Republicans. Now I will tell you why I totally respect our president.... I hope I don't leave anything out!!

1. Low unemployment (5.3 million new jobs)
2. Excellent growth.
3. Low inflation (under 3% ... In spite of gas prices)
4. Low interest rates.
5. Bush has given tax breaks back to the working class.
6. Has lead the world in aid to Africa.
7. He has appointed more minorities to the highest levels in government.
8. He has increased spending on education, environment, social programs, Medicaid and drug plans.
9. He has extended tax cuts.
10.The economy is still stable in spite of the war and Katrina.

And:

He has restored our moral values. He relies on God for guidance in his decision making. (His ethics and moral values are those seen of Godly men.)
He cares enough to try to make this country a better and safer place?
He openly asks for solutions from both parties. (but because of their political agendas would rather his polices fail then for them to work as a team to better this country.)

And the war in Iraq has brought down an evil dictator, Saddam, and freed the Iraqis to begin a new government. They now have a Prime Minister and a full Cabinet, and have established their own Constitution. They have soldiers in training and a police force. And the Iraqis are thankful to our troops for their help and support in all these things.

And now, our troops, our coalition, and the Iraqi police have brought down and killed the evil terrorist leader, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. Since his death, many raids (400+) and many documents and have lead to the capture of other terrorist.

President Bush has accomplished much... In spite of bashing from the media and the left...

Unfortunately, the "leftist" and Liberals will see nothing but negativity in our President. They will continue to make fun of his way of talking, the way he looks, the way he walks, and never give him any credit for any of the good he has done.

This bashing and disrespect is sad that they choose to do this instead of supporting him. However, President Bush will just continue doing the job he was elected to do, inspite of them.

Polls are a very funny thing. If you ask ten democrats their opinion and 8 of them respond negatively, then your poll says that 80% of "those people polled" felt a certain way. I don't believe they actually poll a fair variety of American citizens when they are trying to get a negative end.

What do I love about our president? He is doing what he feels is best for everyone in our country. As for the war, would you rather the Al-quaida (sp?) be in our country fighting every day, blowing up cars, etc in your neighborhood? I didn't think so.

As for the gas prices, he can't control what corporations do. Hello, that is one of the great things about our country. Business corporations are usually not bound by the government. Again, I don't think you really want it that way. It's the oil companies that are charging the high prices, not George.

Find a valid argument and I'll go toe to toe with you.

Kinda pointless, isn't it? You're going to hate him no matter what anyone says. It'd be like trying to convince me that Clinton has core principles, or that Michael Moore isn't a big fat cheeseburger-eating liar. Mind's already made up.

By the way, Felix, you shouldn't have skipped math class. The US population is closer to 300 million than 4 billion, and 36% of 300M would be 108 million.

Bush-hates have bought into media propaganda. They've got you right where they want you. Turner and his million-dollar paychecks are courtesy of you folks. Try thinking about President Bush from a different perspective, and maybe that'll help.

You don't have to love him. I respect him, only because he is PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. I certainly would never vote for him, even if he ran for dog catcher. However, the one thing he got right is, we can not just lie down and die for the terrorist. I do not at all appreciate what these cowards have tried to do to MY country. I have no hate, but, get the basterds before they get you. Nothing wrong with defending yourself, especially in light of the fact they forced us to.

I am not a Bush apologist, he has pissed me off in more ways than one. But if you want to get your left wing, appeasement, welfare state nonsense to have a voice then you had better come up with something more intelligent than "Bush lied, people died."
