I have two jobs and they are now starting to take a toll on my 26 week pregnant body. Both jobs don't have maternity leave with pay. How can I "temporarly quit" my jobs and get temporary unemployment.

If you want unemployment now, you would have to qualify for disability unemployment. This early, you would have to have a doctors note as to why you can't work. You can get unemployment when you are 36 wks without a doctors note. But I am in California, so I'm not sure if the laws are different where you're at.

laws vary from state to state. in NJ, you cannot collect unemployment if you quit for personal reasons. a leave of absence is still a connection to the job and you would not be considered unemployed. the family medical leave act (FMLA) is a leave of absence and is unpaid. it just helps hold your job, but not all employers or employees are covered. who my qualify for disability benefits if the doctor says you are unable to work. this will be your best bet because a medical leave of absence protects your job and you have some money coming in. it is less than your regular pay so check with your state and make sure you can budget accordingly.

These people are all correct! Your best bet is to go to your employers and explain that you are having trouble keeping up with your work load and ask if you could cut back your hours. Hopefully they will be understanding. Could you quit one of the jobs and just work one?
I feel for you!! I ended up with pre eclampsyia and was pregnant for only 31 weeks so that took care of my problem but I couldn't imagine if I had gone full term.
Good luck!

If you quit, you are not entitled to any unemployment benefits. The only way you can claim unemployment is if your company lays you off.

To the best of my knowledge you cannot get unemployment because you must be physically able to work or seek employment in order to recieve it.
