I got a great site for you. It's called CCleaner.com and it's free to download. This site lets you delete anything you want...cookies, temp files, recycle bin, recently typed URL's, history. You just check the box of what you want it to delete. It keeps an icon on your desktop. Just click on it at the end of the day and hit 'run cleaner.

Get rid of the useless Internet files (go to Tools>Options and click the 'delete files' button and while you're there take a look at the History setting (the default is that 20 days of Internet traffic is kept in memory) reduce it down to 10 days. now this is if you're running XP.

i would recommend disk cleanup which is under my computer, right click the C drive and then hit properties then disk cleanup and check all the boxes and it okay, that may take a while then when done that, go to the tools tab and scan your C drive for errors then d-frag, and that should clean up some mess, also try deleting cookies, go to start find files and then type in cookies in c drive and delete all those

Basically uninstall any programs you don't use anymore. Click start, control panel, and click Add/Remove programs. You can uninstall them from there. After removing programs, do a defrag on your computer. If you have XP, double-click my computer, right-click your hard drive (Default is C:), and click "Properties" then look for the Tools bar. The defragment option is in there.

Most of the slowdown is probably due to spyware. Download and install Spybot Search and Destroy and Ad-Aware. Run these two programs and delete any spyware that it finds. It should speed up things for you.

A lot of things saved to the desktop can slow it down too.
