I've noticed at the end of each game it seems like ppl are trading shirts? Is this true and is it only captains or anyone who wants? Is this a World Cup thing or is it done at every match, everywhere? Thanks for the exp. New American to the sport!

Anyone can exchange their shirts, not only applicable to captain. Most of the world cup player will do this as they never know when they will meet again in football match. You can see this mostly in world cup, sometimes in champions league, and international friendlies. But it is very rare to see this happen in the premier league.

p/s:they can do this as they get the shirts for free, not like they pay for it. Suppose that you are England player, and you play 10 matches, why would you keep 10 England shirts when you can have variety of other country shirt? -just my point of view-

all international games seem to have this tradition...not sure how the players pair off though - by number or by size or amount of sweat?
