are most religious-conservatives fear-based?

As in their actions are based on their fear of hell, or some sort of punishment?

To some, this is definately the case. Others, I think, tend to be more law-and-order types - their Holy Book says "x" so this is what we will do. This is in opposition to those more liberal religious-leaning folks who rely a lot on "feelings".

Nope, I believe these are political based rather than fear based.
