I guess anything is possible but the only way that would ever happen to me is if I was incapacitated and unable to work. I would work as many jobs as needed before I resigned myself to homelessness. I see many answers about people being one paycheck away from it. Too many people spend more than they have so that when tough times hit, they are doomed. They need to start doing without some of the "wants" and spend only on the "needs" in order to have some savings for those rainy days

Most of America is only 2-3 paychecks away from being homeless. It could happen to anyone. Even those who think it can't can lose everything due to another depression, scam, stock market crash, natural disaster, etc. We all need to appreciate what we have and not take things for granted.

Actually the thought crosses my mind every blue moon, and it scares the mess out of me. But on the other hand, many successful people have been homeless at one point in their lives, so it wouldn't be the end of the world.

I thought I am the only one with that phobia!! I have company, thank god!

The thought of homelessness terrifies me. There is not a day that goes by that I'm not planning for and working at being solvent.

On the positive side of it - I 've saved enough for my present and my retirement life. But I'm still afraid!

I'd love to say no but you never know what the future has in store, I could go crazy or the economy could collapse, any number of things could happen all I can say is I'll do my best job to avoid anything like that from ever happening

Yep, there are alot of them out there, & the way the Republicans are running this country, there will be more. They are not for the working people, they want the worker to work 2 and 3 jobs. They are only for big business. Don't ever vote Republican, remember that as long as you live & vote.

It's possible(I live in FL), but if so, it wouldn't be for long. I would never be a chronic homeless person. I love my work to much and I don't drink or do drugs. I'm not that dumb. Work=$$=ability to sustain oneself. So there.
