Well I have a few favorite actresses; Julia Roberts first and for-most because she can act anyway the director wants her to, just look at her carrier record,she's played a hooker,to a mom,to a accomplice in a casino hist; actually 2,she's been a teacher,a painter,a photographer,a bride(4 times),a lawyer,she wrecked her best friends wedding,shes died of diabetes,she's even been a step mom,shes been a nurse for a dying patient, she ran away from her abusive husband,and my favorite shes played Tinkerbell,that's just a few examples of the many faces of Julia....
Not to mention she's hot...
I also like Demi More any woman to shave her head for a role is awesome...it really says something about her character(not one she's played in a movie the real character)

I don't too much care for this person but she seems to be the most sought out actress of the new millennium. . . Angelina Jolie. I think that she has played a lot of good roles and landed a lot of good movies lately. With a career like this, she'll go really far.

I think that Angelina Jolie is the best actress. When you see her in her movie roles, it seems like she transforms herself into that character. "Girl, Interrupted" and "Gia" are very good examples of what I mean. She brings out so much emotion and she makes it seem like the character is actually real. No other actress that I've seen can actually do that. She showed that she could do a little comedy in "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" but otherwise I love her and to me, she's the best actress I've seen.

If you're talking sheer talent, its a toss up between Glen Close and Meryl Streep (watch Close in season 4 of the Shield to see some of her best work).
As far as beauty, I probably have to go with the rest of the flcok and say Jessica Alba. I'm hard pressed to find a woman hotter than her (although I have seen NON actresses that blow her away).
As far as both, I have always been in love with Jennifer Conelly. So she wins out overall.

Being the best cannot just be about looks. The best means the audience completely forgets who you really are and believes you are the character. Performers such as Katherine Hepburn, Bette Davis, Dame Judi Dench and Meryl Streep. I do like Angelina Jolie, but the whole Jennifer Aniston situation really disturbs me.

Emma Thompson, a great actress who can do comedy and drama. She made Wit, about a college professor dying of cancer, but started her career in comedy with the likes of Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry. One of her ealier, funny movies is Peter's Friends

Umm Id pick Either Rachel Mcadams Or Hilarie Burton. Thier both my Favorite Actresses. I think Rachel because she can play almost anypart and is so pretty. Id say hilarie because on one tree hill she plays someone completely opposite of her and does it so well. I think thier both great actresses.

I would have to say Paris Hilton was incredible in House of Wax. My favorite part was when she DIED!! Actually I think she's crap and can't think of a favorite actress, probably Stockard Channing...she always plays a bit of a badass and I like that.
