Who are the stars and who makes a special guest appearance on the movie?

Prairie Home Companion has been on for a long time. I heard who the guests were but have forgotten now. I used to listen every Saturday evening on PBS. My brother watched it on TV. Usually very entertaing, and a wide variety of guests and themes. Sometimes a bit too liberal for my taste, but hilarious when Garrison was fueding with the Governor of Minnesota, or whichever state that has that wrestler for a governor.

There is a radio show on National Public Radio called A Prairie Home Companion. The movie is basically the story of the radio show and it's creator Garrison Keillor.

Hmmm...they probably got the idea from the original radio show, on NPR.
The stars in the movie are various - Meryl Streep, Kevin Klein, Woody Harrelson, etc.

It's been a public radio show for years. I know Lily Tomlin and Meryl Streep are in it, and Mya Rudolph from SNL.
