Well, no beeps means that something is wrong all right. It may not be the hard drive. You should hear one beep att least - that means "I'm fine" - but no beeps means that the CPU (note that CPU means central processing unit and NOT the whole computer as some ppl use it now) is not responding. So, how much do you know about hardware? If you don't know a lot, just bring it to a good repair shop. If you do, tear it down to nothing but the CPU and heatsink. I'll post more if you add a detail to your question "Yes I know how to tear it apart and put it back together" - otherwise, repair shop time.

Tom G is the closest. I can't help you more but wanted to point you in the right direction. Your computer will not POST (power on self test) which means it is probably hardware related, not a virus. Have you called the mfr? What about checking the mfr's website? Try checking the connections for the mouse and keyboard, if you have another mouse/keyboard plug them in and try them. Have you changed anything physically in the computer tower? Added memory?
Use this article (link) for a step by step guide to troubleshooting your pc.
Hope this helped.

Try hitting the F1 thru F12 buttons. F1 is help. F8,9, or 10 may get you going. Probabvly a virus. If you are able to get started, look for "free anti-virus software". I use lavasoft antivir9x

If you have a setup and recovery disk - use it according to manufacture recomendations. The other possible thing could be a bad monitor - do you or your friends have spare one? If this will not help you should seek professional help.

Sounds like your boot sector or startup files are corrupt. Try booting it from the discs that came with your computer. Beyond this I can't really help much; boot sectors aren't my specialty.

Take it to a professional. It could be the hard drive but more likely the motherboard or processor.

initially set up Norton anti virus or Macafee or the different Anti virus on ur notebook. do no longer use pirated softwares as they could be contaminated and could harm ur HDD.additionally use disk Defragmentation to look for undesirable sectors in ur disk.
