guess it depends on which talent your looking for. id say the best songwriter and most influential was John Lennon, the best guitar player was obviously Goerge Harrison. but the beatles were probably the best band ever in terms of changing everything music was about, id hate to think what the world would be without their influence.

I would lke to think Paul McCartney is most talented. Even though he was 63, I saw him last year when he was on tour and as a musician I was just so inspired by the dimensions of his songs and the overall way he plays. He can still play for 3 hours straight in front of a live audience and was heavily succesful after the beatles. (We all know he was sooooo much better than the stones at the super bowl half time show!!!)

In the beatles it's a toss up between Paul and John. Without Paul, there would be no John and without John there would be no Paul.
But for solo projects I would have to say John, because he had something to say with his music. It was more thought provoking then the songs Paul put out.

Each one brought something to the table. However, I think between John Lennon and Paul McCartney it's a toss up. As for as heavy thinking, world altering, political activism, it would have to be John Lennon. Paul MCartney is more mellow and fun loving in his song writing.

I agree with you, Lennon had the most talent! I worship that man! A bit out there late in his short life, but his ideas were truth, just his methods a bit odd!

John.
John and Paul were the perfect duo, but when looking at what they produced solo, John took risks, made mistakes, had great successes, wrote from the heart. "Imagine"
Paul's solo music started out vapid and became elevator music. "We're So Sorry Uncle Albert"

That's so debatable. Paul & John were both enormously talented in their own ways. That goes for George & Ringo too.
It'll all boil down to "who's your fave Beatle?"

George Harrison
He was the best musician and all of the songs he wrote for the Beatles are amazing. Listen to "Something" again and tell me it's not one of the greatest songs you've ever heard.
