i noticed almost an entire side aisle at the store lined with bottled water marketed from various companies.is there really a drastic difference in the taste of water?or is it due to the tainted tastebuds on your tongue(such as after eating a burger with onions or bitter food/etc,then drinking water as an attempt to rid the revolting taste) that make it seem as if the water tastes different?what influences your choice(spiffy sounding company name/eye catching label/overall 'cool'-ness factor/etc)when choosing which bottled water brand to buy?would you shell out more money if the company claims that the water is from a faraway mountain spring glacier rather than a simple claim of purified water?does the popular brand name & higher price of bottled water give you a sense of comfort/etc assuming that it must be 'cleaner'/'better'?is the higher price of brand name water because it supposedly 'tastes better' or paying for the image?so their rmarketing trick to get suckers worked as expected

Why buy bottled water at all? Tap water is just fine. It's more ecologically friendly and economical to just filter it.

I think it's rediculous to buy water in a bottle. I have filtered water on my sink and also on my refrigerator. I can plan ahead and take some filtered water with me in a water bottle and not have to pay $1.00 for a small bottle that tastes like nothing. I think water should have a little taste to it. Boy, these water companies sure have a LOT of people fooled. If you read the small print as to where the water actually comes from, you'll be surprised!

I don't buy it at all. With the price of everything else. I just get the water out of my sink. I need my money for gas, and as long as you can get water free, why buy it. But since I have a water bill every 3 months, I guess I pay for it after all. But I get it out of the sink. Or you could buy a filter for your sink, filter your water clean, and just put it in a bottle, put it in the fridge, and who will know the difference.

Good luck with this question. I know a lot of people buy water, but I will spend my money on other things that are more important to me. Like I said gas to get from point A, to point B.

As long as it says spring water. I don't care about anything else. I usually drink Ice Water Springs ( the store brand of Dollar General) or Poland Springs.
It's the cheapest around my area, and tastes the best for making up into koolaid.

I buy the Dasani because I get it flavored with lemon at Walmart very reasonable price, has Splenda, only 5 calories, and I had really been a poor water drinker. This water tastes great really cold, and I am enjoying lots of water with a good taste.

You are actually better off drinking tap water. The FDA regulations for the quality of bottled water are less stringent than the rules that govern the water that comes from your tap. If you are worried about quality, filtered tap water is your cheapest and safest bet.

I buy aquafina if I have the choice! to me it tastes so much better! I've actually had my boyfriend pour tap water, dassani, and aquafina into the the same looking plastic cups when I was out of the room and I guessed everyone correct. I can seriously tell the difference. if you can't then maybe i have more refinded taste buds then you.

Ive found that bottled water at big name stores that is generic branded is the same as ozarka or others, but from dollar stores it is not. -Me

There is no big difference between all the brands except their methods of distilling water may be different. Therefore it might alter the taste- My fiance who collects water, distills and tests in in a lab.
