England is the UK or did ya never notice this?
The 1707 Act of Union had unified England and Scotland as Great Britain with England having an upper hand (the Scots briefly had a War of Independence from England a few years later).
An 1801 act unified Great Britain and Ireland as The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland nowadays The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Only Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales could leave The United Kingdom but England cannot cause England is The United Kingdom, England therefore cannot depart from herself.
